About This Collection
Testimonies of healing have been a central feature of Christian Science from the beginning of the movement. Mary Baker Eddy encouraged students to share their experiences of healing as evidence of the practical application of Christian Science, and the early periodicals — The Christian Science Journal, the Christian Science Sentinel, and others — published hundreds of such testimonies each year.
The testimonies gathered here represent a cross-section of that early literature. They cover a wide range of conditions and circumstances, and they reflect the thought and practice of Christian Science as it was understood and applied in the movement's early decades.
This collection is offered as a free resource for students of Christian Science and all who are interested in the history and practice of healing through prayer.
